I am still putting things together at this point and am planning on having two return lines from one pump in the sump running to the display tank. I am going to use a surface skimmer box mounted in the center of the back wall. A return will be mounted on each side of it directed toward the back side of the live rock and directed towards the bottom of the tank. I have two nano 425 power heads that I am going to mount towards the front of the left and right walls, point towards the center of the 29 gallon tank, and alternated with a smartwave. Return pump is a SICCE 568 GPH. I would like to know what you think of this setup and what I should change.

Two returns are really no benefit on that size tank. . I'd just suggest one.

+1.....if you wanted 2 returns then you should go with 2 pumps in case one fails, but they would have to be very small pumps on a tank your size.

Yeah, it doesn't say specifications, it would depend on the OPs water head etc but something similar to that I would say.

My though was not a concern of losing a pump but more of circulation for the tank. I just thought that with two returns and directing them the way I described it would create good flow around the back side of the live rock. I guess I was hoping for more "Hey, that's a good idea" or "That would work great"! Now my feelings are hurt! LOL Just kidding. I did ask for opinions.

its a 125 gph powerhead i believe, but could be plumbed with return lines.

Well you're right with what you say about circulation. I have two returns on my 150, but they are run with two pumps. If you want to do it then it certainly wouldn't do any harm.....I would still run with two pumps instead of one though, it just gives you that added peace of mind.
