hey guys,

so I had to restart my system, and before the crash o had ordered many new pieces of equipment and a big cleanup crew (enough for a 40 gallon).

after the crash i had it back together in 2 days, the problem is the cleanup crew came 2 days after the restart and i fear they may starve.

how do i get some good amount of algae growing on the tank surfaces again for the snails?

obviously over feeding would boost the nutrients, but i want to avoid polluting the tank again?

Ideas?

I learned this the hard way but try keeping your lights on for an extended amount of time. Worked for me. Hope this helps.
