I have a dual t5ho and an led fixture

i found some articulating screw in bulb stands like 18" i was thinking that I could use these to direct some light at corals that might need some extra light without getting a full fixture. and overpowering lower light corals?

are there any bulbs that can be used? like low output MH bulbs?

In my opinion, you are really complicating this.
Get a 4 bulb T5 fixture with proper bulbs, done.

Do some searches for par38 led reef bulbs. ( Par38 is the bulb shape/size )
These are just LED bulbs that fit in screw type fixtures.

Some people use them to light their fuges.
