Hi ALL
Thank you for reading this
Just got my new Reefer Tank would love some help as Im new in salt water tanks have been keeping tropical fish for over 10 years with few aqua scape as well
1st question is about skimmer either go for DELTEC or Vertex
2nd power pump have been thinking about Eheim Compact 3000 (1500 - 3000 lt/h)
3rd Light EcoTech Radion XR30w Pro G3
And not sure what else I need and if I could get some tips on mixing the salt, how much live rock I need, and how often would have to do a water change
If anyone could help me setting up this tank would be great
Many Thanks
Paul

What size tank?
Will you have a sump?
What do you plan to keep?
Those will all play into your decisions.

Remember this is for a 450
Skimmer: Vertex 150
Pump: Sicce 5
Lights: Either 2 EcoTech Radion XR30w Pro G3's or possibly a Giesemann Aurora T5/LED Hybrid.
Also have 2 Vertex media reactors and a recirculating biopellet reactor that I will be connecting somehow.
Looking forward to all the future Reefer builds

Thinking of ordering for the tank
- Vertex Omega 150 Protein Skimmer
- Ecotech Vortech QuietDrive MP10wQD
- Tunze Silence Recirculation pump 1073.020 or eheim compact 3000 any idea which one is more silent
- Ecotech Radion Gen 3 PRO + Reeflink
- Heater 50w I think would be enough
Thats the basic I need
Next stage I guess I need live rock is there a difference between Fiji and other
How do I mix the salt and what temp the RO water has to be
Also do I need aqua scape stand
is it good idea to add
Vertex Media Reactor RX-U 1.5 or
Vertex Zeolith Reactor RX-Z 1.5

That's a big skimmer for a 34 gallon display tank.
