Filter Socks and PODs

Do those that use filter socks every worry about the amount of PODs that are lost to sock cleanings? This is the main reason I don't use one but if there was a way around that it would be nice to have that extra mechanical filtration stage.

I don't use sock for lots of reasons, but I doubt they affect pod populations all that much. Most pods in our tanks are benthic, so likely never make it to the socks I significant numbers. IMO

Have my setup split where half of the drain goes to skimmer side, and half goes to fuge side. Skimmer side is socked typically, fuge never. They both then flow over to the center return section so pods are unaffected.
