Hard wire my 250w Ice cap ballast?

I'm going to hard wire my electronic ballast to my Current USA Sunpod.
Can I splice it to the existing wire from my magnetic ballast that leads to the fixture? If not, what gauge wire do I need to purchase?

Don't have one but..
Yes you can splice and the wire gauge should be equivalent too or greater than whats there now.
Sometimes/usually the gauge/volt rating/temp,etc.. is marked along the wire

Or just cut a small piece off and take it to the store with you

Thanks for the reply, it's up and running now. I now realize how rundown the stock magnetic ballast was, my wife says it's too bright haha.
