need JBJ ATO help!

I just got in my first JBJ ATO today. I use a 40B for my sumps. The float bracket looks like it will only work on a 10 gallon tank sized plastic frame. No way to get it to work on the thicker 40B frame. Any advice to get this on? I don't want to just rely on the suction cups as they always fail at some point.

I have mine hooked up with just the suction cups... No failure yet, fingers crossed

I've considered super gluing it in place..

The only suction cups I have seen last long term are the magnet assisted ones. I'll probably try the suction cups for awhile until I can come up with a better solution. I have some old fluval canister filters perhaps I can modify their brackets to work.
