This guy kept appearing in my tank at night...Richard advised me its a pearlfish. They reside during the day inside my cucumbers butt! Cool looking fish...I pity the cucumber though.

About 20 years ago the BBC contacted me to supply them with a cucumber and pearl fish for a documentary they were filming. I captured a zillion cukes, mostly the large ones that a foot plus here...after weeks of trying, never got a one with the pearl fish symbiotic relationship.

This is the first one I have seen in eons, much less survive being shipped from Tampa to you...in the gut of a cucumber....pretty rare event...

here is your pic

I would get as many pics as you could....they seem to be pretty nocturnal....and see if you can find out what cuke he is living in...

I only have the 1 cuke and he is only maybe 2 1/2"-3" long so the pearlfish is pretty snug in there I am sure cause it is at least 3-4" long. Pretty cool. He isn't out every night but has been the past few nights.

Probably hungry...would target feed him when you see it...

Now THAT is cool! Never heard of that pairing. That certainly says a lot about the aliveness of TBS products! Way to go!
