View Full Version : Does this sound about right?

My brand new Chloramine 90gpd unit is only putting out 100ml of output to 500ml of waste. The unit gets about 45-48 avg psi and I have the green flow restrictor in on soft water. I have checked pressure after the 3 sediment filters and get good pressure. I have pulled the output line off the injection membrane and Im getting terrible flow through it. I actually measured it too against the waste and im getting around 110 ml to 500 ml of waste. Does that sound right?

We may have more questions, but the first one would be: what is the actual tap water temperature? Put a thermometer in a glass and run the sink faucet into it for 5 minutes.

Water is 57.1 degrees

Membrane specs can be as much as -20% of typical rated output = .80x factor

45 psi = .75x factor

57.1 deg = .707x factor

So, 90 x .80 = 72 72 = x .75 = 54 54 x .707 = 38 GPD (min).

110 ml/min = 41.8 GPD.

500/110 = 4.54 to 1. A little much this time of year, but when the water warms up, the ratio will go down.
