So, working on my first salt water tank. I would like to eventually go Reef, but for now it's primarily FOWLR. It's a 135G. So far, i have 2 False Percula Clownfish, 1 Rose Bubble Anemone, 3 Mushrooms, 2 emerald crabs, 1 mexican turbo snail, 1 zebra snail and 2 hermit crabs. A bit of Cyano that started up is clearing up and almost gone now. As well, some hair has started up this past week and is getting pretty thick where the light is directly shining.
The mushrooms were kind of a bonus. I actually got the live rock for the micro life in it and the mushrooms were just a part of it. However, i do admit i like the tiny things. They're only about dime / nickel sized.
My biggest question right now is should, or rather could, i get a flame angel or a tang to start cutting that back some?
The tank has been running for a bit over a month and the live rock / sand that i have was cured for a month prior to that and cycled in. The next goal is get enough sand for a DSB. I bought the live rock and sand already live from a local hobbyist here that was breaking down their tank. I know i need a lot more rock and sand. There's only about 50 pounds of sand and 100 pounds of live rock that i got, but figured for pre cycled and cured active live rock. I payed $250 for all of it.
