Looks green to me in the image. Do you mean a black tint?

Depending on how recently the molted, their carapace can either be a lighter green to an older darker green.

When I had my emerald crab he would sit on a rock and try to pinch the little fish.they are great for bubble algae btw

My two emeralds (Crab Battle and Zoidberg) have taken to mortal kombat on the sand beds between feedings. That is when they're not rearranging all my frags for me :p

3 yes' yet the OP still hasn't provided a picture or more detailed description. Dkuhlmann's picture is not the OP's picture, but I can see the confusion since it was posted without any sort of explanation.

It's just a picture of an emerald crab from Google. I didn't think an explanation was warranted. I only posted it after seeing the op trying to post a picture then someone else posted the Google search for emerald crabs.
