I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the $15 1lb bag of GFO on amazon. I usually get BRS regular GFO but this is about half the price, i'm wondering if it will stack up as good as the BRS stuff i'm using.

Been using it for a couple of months, I can't tell any difference. Works great.

Thanks, thats a big help, budget is tight right now and this would be a big help. Do you use the same amount that you would normally use with any other GFO like BRS? I use about 1 cup in the reactor in a 80 total gallon system, should i use more, less, or keep it the same?

I have purchased GFO from ebay. There is no difference, and it actually seems to last longer. It may last longer, because I end up putting more, since it was cheaper per lb, but you get my point.

I actually bought 12lb for $120, so about $10 a lb

The guy I think sells 1,3,6, or 12 lb at a time, and each lb is pre packaged in a flat rate box, so I got 12 sealed boxes in one box, kind of a waste..... but to him its free for the box, and more efficient too.

Thanks for the responses, its a big help, my last question though is how much gfo for 80 total gallons? I've been using a cup to a cup and a half through the reactor, is that a good amount, or should i be using more or less?

Here is the best value I've found for GFO - $7/lb in 25 lb boxes (which I buy) or $13 per 1 lb. They used to sell on ebay but are even cheaper now that they have their own site. I have been using it for 2 years and cannot tell the difference between it and BRS which I used to use.
