I have a large horseshoe crab that has out grown the tank I have him in. He's probably the size of a baseball or so. If you are looking for something to move your sand bed around this guy is it!

Are they reef safe? Do they eat corals or fish?

And how long have you had him?

They are mostly reef safe. They will not eat any type of coral and will pay no attention to your fish. I have him with a sand sifter and a flounder as well as all the others that are more up on the rocks. With all this being said the crab might go for a swim and if you have any frags that are not well glued down he might knock it over/off. I have him in a 150 gallon and have him trained to take pieces of food off the end of a stick. I've had him for over a year; they are very hardy. He's grown from about the size of a quarter to where he is now.
I'll try and get a picture...

We have a bunch of clams in our tank, so probably not the best idea. Sorry. Good luck finding him a home
