Seeing the new Gyre in person, I'm impressed!

I'm running an SPS dominant reef in a Fusion 40. Was wondering if 2 mp10's or 1 gyre 130 would be better?

The dimensions are 24x15.5x19

I have the same tank, im thinking of running my mp10 behind my reef and a 130 for the rest. I do like the flow of the 130 better imo.

me...still would choose the MP's with alternating flow.

Where would you put it on the back?
I'd love to do so but the dry side would get wet

Mounting would be on the side of tank pushing water behind my reef. I was thinking of mounting it as low as possible without blowing sand everywhere. The 130 would be on same side but top center. My reef is kinda large for the tank, just trying to eliminate any dead spots.

Agh gotcha. I was like PLEASE tell me how you're putting that on the back! Lol.

I currently have an MP20 running in the back. It's just so big and bulky.

I have a 37 gallon tank and I'm running 2 mp10s between 50 and 70% and they are loud. One is waay louder than the other so these are hit or miss.

I'm building a 50 gallon (40 breeder lenght and width just 2 inches higher) and I purchased a Gyre 130 to use on the new tank. If I have to crank up the mp10s to 100%, that will be too much noise for my living room.

My new tank should be up and running in 2 weeks. I'll be able to give you a comparison then (maybe even a video too)

I agree, mine on 70%+ are pretty loud. The tank is in my bedroom so it gets a bit annoying when I hear (woom...wooom..wooom...woom..) lol.

Checked out the Gyre 130 today at my LFS, it's definitely pretty sweet!
