Just got a red sea max 130D. Skimmer is useless, noisy and doesnt actually skim. Going to get a new one, been looking at the v2 nano 120 & tunze 9002, which would i be better off with. Used to run a v2 on my 4 foot tank and it was brilliant, but i know tunze products are also great.

Thanks in advance for any advice

I am in the same boat. I been using the tunze 9001 for 2 weeks, and the micro bubbles don't go away.
I am thinking to return it.

Managed to get a very cheap, new 9001. Going to try that, got filter wool to try and stop any bubbles. See how it goes. Cant be any worse than stock skimmer.

Yes I did, and the foam production as today is not good vs the old rsm skimmer.
The bubbles are on the middle of the cone, but the collections cup have pretty much noting

How new is it? They usually take a few days to bed in

Has been running for almost 3 weeks.
I am not sure if also part of the problem can be the chiller pump which is no to close but in the same chamber.

Shouldnt cause a problem. Strange. The 9001 gets good reviews. Water level ok? You use an atu?

Yes the water level is good, I was able to reduce the bubbles. I put it like 1/2 inch below the water mark.
Will see how performe. In the middle time I order the new skimmer msk 600, looks like is more compact then the old one. My main reason to replace it was the noise.
