Does AEFW eat montipora?

Today I found flatworms all over my branching Montipora Digitata! It was not receding. I cannot find flat worms anywhere else. I did notice a fear clear ones on my a recent gonipora addition.

I've had RTN/STN over the last 1.5 months however I have assumed it was a combination of my skimmer pump not working well (no skimming for days at a time--pump being replaced) and a combination of alk swing from 7.7 to 9 and then back to 7.7.

I've lost 3-4 pieces from RTN which took about a couple of days for the colony to disapear.

It's not AEFW but some photosynthetic species, I saw that once on a monti frag I got. They don't appear to kill the coral or eat their tissue (I saw no marks). I found they are easy to remove with an iodine dip (or probably the other standard dips).

If you can remove the coral, a 10 - 15 second dip in temp adjusted ro/di will kill them all without harming the coral at all.

this is what fell off my Elegance in 15 seconds. It looks better now than it ever has.

Ok, thanks all for the feedback. I couldn't read anywhere that AEFW would swarm branching montipora and not the other Acros. Weird that they would swarm that one piece.

I really hope the RTN was indeed parameters and not flatworms.
