Fallowed DT due to Brook for 10 weeks, (probably not long enough). I have 6 fish in three different 20G QT's. I put my purple firefish Goby in DT, about 10 days, looked fine eating very well. So I added my Mardarin, because I have an explosion population of pods, (added 1 bottle to sump 8-9 weeks ago). I had an unopened large bag of brine shrimp eggs to feed him during QT. No luck hatching after 3 try's. Had the eggs for 4 years or so, didn't think they'd go bad. Guess I was wrong. Anyway I was worried the Mandarin wasn't eating, so added to DT (2 week in QT). He was and still looks great, eating good. So good in fact he's getting fat. Very friendly fella, every time I'm gazing into the tank it don't take him long to come greet me :celeb2: Added Blue Hippo (small), QT for 4 weeks along with Naso & Yellow Tang. All doing good. Put Blue in DT because he was always hiding till feeding time behind filter tube. Not in DT for a day and noticed he had a few pimples (white). I don't think it is Ick because he isn't scratching, and he eats like he is starving, (live, frozen, and flakes). Water quality good, lots of live rock. I have pics, but not sure yet how to add. Thanks, getting discouraged, but not giving up! Thanks for the help. (1st post)

Eight weeks was more than enough for Brook.

Did you treat the fish with anything while they were in QT?

Do you have blue lights only you can turn on? Ich glows in blues but flukes do not (at least I don't believe they do, haven't had flukes to deal with in a long time). Those spots look somewhat oblonged to me

I have 6 other fish in QT. Blue tang was with a naso, & a yellow tang in QT. All other fish seem to be fine. The naso & yellow have been ib QT for 8 weeks.\, I feel really bad for them. Should I be treating fish with something even though they are doing great? Seems the Blue Tangs are very stressed fish. I'll put a few blue led's I used for moonlights and see what I can see. Thanks for all the help. I'm wearing myself out dealing with 3 20G QT's (WC & all). No more LFS livestock for me. Have had no issues with livestock from F&S. guess I need to brace floor for a 150 drilled tank I have. Never been any livestock in it, but is etched, Need to give my little friends some happiness. Anyway thanks so very much again.

There is a long lived debate about whether to do prophylactic treatment of fish while in QT. Some people observe and treat if necessary. I normally run all of my fish through at least a treatment of prazi, and especially susceptible fish (like tangs) through a treatment of cuppramine with a 2 week observation period on both sides of treatment.

I noticed you are in Alabama. What part of Alabama, and what LFS did you use?
