that was my wartskin angler / frogfish. he was just plain awesome!!! beautiful, fun personality, and a glutton! lol he even ate a fu-manchu lionfish that was his same size :) note... anglers should be in a species only tank. he passed away about a month ago, and i broke the tank down. not sure if i will get another one...

poor quality pics, but gives you the idea...

I loved the thread for this guy on bars! Such a cool fish. Wish I had room for the nem though. Gorgeous

yah, man... well established giganteas don't pop up for sale too often. i'm debating on upsizing my nem tank just to keep it. lol

They sure don't! And if anyone has one please don't do what I did and get cocky and try to add more nems. One sick one blew away my beautiful blue gig that I had for 2 years at the time. Can't get greedy as beautiful a nem as they are. It's way worse to kill a well established one like I did. Lesson learned for me. I nursed a damaged one from live aquaria. Now I'm a happy camper with a heathy gig again, though not as pretty as my blue one. :(

agreed to an extent...

getting freshly imported gigs is very touchy. a very high percentage of them don't make it. they can bring sickness / pathogen with them and spread it to other nems. they are very poor shippers and often arrive in rough shape.

long term well established healthy gigs, like this one, are a whole other ballgame. they are very hardy and disease free. that's why you are supposed to have a qt and antibiotics if you are getting a fresh import or any carpet nem for that matter.

oops... got off topic and a mod must have moved this part of the thread. thanks mods for keeping my for sale thread clean on topic :)

Beautiful fish. Let's see a picture of your nem.

i have a multi-colored well established gigantea listed in the for sale ads. not the best pic, but give you the general idea...
