hello,

i'm hoping someone will have some advice for helping my blue gig. i have had it 6 months. it was extremely bleached when i got it. i treated with cipro, and then placed in my dt. within the past month it has gotten a nice dark base back, and the blue is fairly dark.

problem is... it never had good extension and has always seemed half way expanded. never fully expanded, and never pancaked out. mouth is shut, and it's very sticky.

any ideas on what the deal is? i have it in with 3 other very healthy shaggy fully expanded gigs.

seems like if it was a pathogen it would have been dead by now. maybe irritated by the other gigs in the tank?

thoughts?

recent pic. this is the best it has ever looked. most of the time it is less expanded.

Do you run carbon? have you tried increasing the flow in your tank?

this morning i moved it into my other tank that is a mixed reef. it is now expanded more then it has in a really long time. i'm thinking possibly being irritated by the other gigs when it was in the other tank...

yes, i run carbon and gfo. i moved it into a higher area, and it did worse.
