These things i don;t think are calcium based tube worms and do have a sort of polyp that is near transparent that slowly retracts, the structure is extremely tough, just like coral and it grows in low light high flow at my pre filter barrier on the slide edge.
I have to scrape them off regularly or they tear my pre filer barrier.
I use to think it was precipitation but it is alive!
Any one got any ideas of its Latin name or what ever ?

Probably the smaller vermetid snails. They can become somewhat of a plague.
