I just picked up a used innovative marine sr 60 tank setup. I've been out of the hobby for about 2 years now & have a few questions for people running this tank. I've heard the overflows & the bubble trap baffles can be a little loud do to the tiny spacing of them. Has anyone separated the baffles some & is it quoted now or should I just leave them the way there are because it's fine? Also are you still running the stock pumps or recommend swapping them out?
As far as equipment: I'll be running a 36" T5 39 watt x 4 for now (switch to leds later), MP10 (might add a second one later) & a mid size IM skimmer. All equipment came with the tank. Thanks for ya'll help.

My man, this is a nano reef section. You'd be better off asking this in the Equipment section.

I'm running the 80 currently. The baffles aren't loud it's the overflow itsslf. The drop off from the overflow to the filter sock, or in my case nothing since I took those out, is too far. This causes a very noisey overflow. Placing a piece of acrylic back there at an angle will make the overflow near silent. I also run my water level pretty high. The stock return pumps are very powerful on mine amd dead silent, no need to replace them. One mp10 should be fine though long term I agree adding a second will be ideal.

And Hentz is right you're almost double the water volume that's allowed in the nano section :lmao:

Thanks terrypercula. I'm going to leave the baffles how they are and I'll modify how the overflows dump into the filter socks.
Sorry guys, to me this tank does seem nano sized compared to my last reef tank I had setup. lol
