Hey all,
I have a reef octo 1000 in sump. Its been running great since the start. Yesterday I spent some time with the tank. Did a major general clean, nothing out of the ordinary, then I did some aquascaping.
Since then my skimmer has gone insane. Regardless of water level or amount I have it open/closed, there is a continuous heavy flow of water/bubbles into the collection cup. I've routed a drain line from the cup back into the sump and its running like a faucet.
The only thing I can think of is that I used some aqua-safe epoxy putty to secure a few rocks.
I'm unsure if the unit is malfunctioning or if its a reaction from the epoxy in the water.
Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.
