I'm looking at building a sump for my 70g cube and just in need of a little advice. The inside dimensions are 28.5" x 28.5" with a height of 24". I'm thinking of going 28" long and 15" wide. The height I'm not to sure about as I know I need head room to remove the skimmer cup. I am thinking 15" of height, but open to ideas. The skimmer is a bubble magus nac6a and measures 7"L x 10.5"W x 20"H with the sweet spot hitting the 9-11" of water. The return pump is a mag drive 7 measuring 5"L x 4"W x 4"H. I've read that I need a little wiggle room in this section for water incase anything happens. So I'm open to ideas on chamber dimensions and if I should just do a 2 chamber instead of 3 chamber as it doesn't leave much room for a refugium with 3 chambers in the sump. Let me know what you think.
