I have been seeing some very beautiful Arco coral aquariums on YouTube...
And a lot of them seem to have bare bottom/sand-less tanks...
What are the advantages?
Disadvantages?

You can do a ton of flow, which your sps will love. There's no sand to create a sand storm. I think the draw back for many is just the looks.

people like to have their own conversation with people on subjects maybe he just wants to talk it out with people instead of just reading about it and thats it.
I like bare bottom for a few reasons
#1 FLOW I can have tons and tons of flow with no issue. I am redoing my tank right now and after my 220g will have almost 24,000gph in flow I could never have that much flow with a sand bed.
#2 nutrient levels, Its easier to control your No3 and Po4 with barebottom.
#3 cleaning, The one and only thing I HATE in this hobby is cleaning a sand bed.
Bad things about bare bottom
#1 if you like critters that sift sand then you are kind of out of luck.
#2 If you like the look of sand it doesnt have that look.
I feel that #2 is easy to beat. I bought a sheet of HDPE that is textured to put on the bottom of my tank and it looks like sand in a way.

Doesn't a sand bed house millions of beneficial bacteria though...?

Well for someone with 9,000 posts, I am sure it has... :lol2:
But not for those of us with only 200 posts that are actually interested.
People ask questions because they seek knowledge.
And as far as telling someone to just do a search...
That could probably be said for more than 95% of the questions posted on here.
So people like to ask questions, follow up, get more information, etc.
This is a great forum!

Maybe so, but in this case there's an active thread on the same topic ... On page 1! Not sure how number of posts impacts ones ability to read that thread; though you'll have to allocate a good hour of your life (that you'll never get back). Do believe your question is addressed there ....
But, hey, it's a free country for us all to be redundant if we wish to be :)

I have to agree! I will even make it easy, here is a link. It is an endless disagreement.

Are you saying that a bb is a better idea for an SPS tank...?

It can be with some sps's from my experience. but I will surely say running sps system with a sand bed is easier, not going into the whole exhausted or keeping the sand bed alive subject etc etc..

Here's a couple of the recent threads that people are talking about when they say :deadhorse1:
[Anybody Regret Going BB?] (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2479211)
[Are DSB's Dangerous?] (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2268433)
[Picking DSB over SSB] (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2485047)
They have a lot of links to other threads in them too, so it should keep you busy for a while.
