Everyone,

I currently have a Maxima in my 65g mixed reef and it's doing great. I have read that a Wrasses and clam can be a problem, esp. the Leopards.

Does anyone have any problems with Wrasses and Clams? If so....please tell me what species specifically.

Thanks.

I have a banana wrasse in with a variety of clams and he doesnt look at them at all. Not sure about the leopards...

shouldnt be an issue with a leopard if you keep it well fed

Awesome. This will be my first wrasse, and quite honestly I love my clam more....so if there was a compatibility issue....the fish would go before the clam.

I agree. The clam would win. My Maxima is one of my favorite aquarium inhabitants.

the leopards are incredibly gorgeous fish.

i haven't kept one of them yet, but i had a flasher wrasse (carpenters) that was perfectly cool with both of my clams.

With such a small tank...I know I have a limited amount of fish I can keep. The leopards are beautiful fish.....just doing my due diligence research.

Leopards, Flasher, and Fairy wrasse are all clam safe.

i have a yellow coris, vrolik's, yellow fin flasher and red velvet fairy wrasse. the only time i ever saw them around my clam was when they were picking flatworms off the outside of the shell.

i have a pair of leopards and a few other wrasses in with a maxima and have no issues, they occasionally forage around the clam but haven't touched it so far.

Awesome!! Thanks for the replies. My tank is mature enough to house a Leopard....plenty of pods to go around. Just needed some feedback since this is my first wrasse with my newer maxima.
