Hi -- I'm new to Reef Central but have had my nano tank for 3+ years now. I bought a piece of live rock at the LFS and something started growing on it. I took pictures and took them to the LFS to see what this was and they told me to destroy it as it might be some sort of aptasia.. I've seen a lot of those and this definitely is NOT one of 'em! I'm trying to upload a pic to see if anyone can help me identify..
thanks for your help!

Hate those things. I have most likely 20+ in my new tank. They spread...

If it has a hard skeleton then it's hidden cup coral, Phyllangia americana.

It does have a hard skeleton. After looking at pictures, I believe it IS a hidden cup coral! Many Thanks!
