As the title says I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction for obtaining the ingredient for the calcium portion of homemade 2 part. I already bought a huge bag of baking soda from sam's club for the alkalinity part. I didn't think to check there for ice melt but I will be there again this weekend.

Since the winter is behind us I am assuming stock is going to be low or non existent for the ice melting products made from calcium chloride. If anyone has come across stock in a local hardware store or other location and could tell me where that is I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks
Josh

I use Ms Wages pickling lime, I'm lucky sometimes and can pick it up at WALMART in August/ Sept. Just bought a case of 6 one lb bags for $35 shipped, instore price without shipping is half that but it is still less expensive than KALK and works just as well for me. The six bags will last most of the year.

Mrs. Wages pickling lime is used to make kalkwasser NOT the Ca solution of the 2 part dosing. 2 part Ca is made with calcium chloride.
