Hey guy. I recently purchased phos. Rx. I had intentions of keeping this on hand to control phosphates if they begin to rise. But can't find an answer anywhere short of contacting the company. If I can use this if I'm not running a protein skimmer.does anyone know?

I wouldn't, though I've never used it. Where does the phosphate go exactly? it says it binds it, but doesn't say how. Kinda sounds like carbon dosing to me, which needs a protein skimmer. Contacting the company is a good idea though. I've done the email questions to seachem a few times and always get an answer back from someone who knows how the product works.
Not knowing how it works at all, I'd probly not want to use it anyways. I don't like adding mystery solutions to my tank.

Ya I won't use without definitive answer. I think company is my best bet.
