View Full Version : Need help to ID odd thing

I am hoping someone can ID this for me. It started growing about 3 weeks ago. It is approx 1/2" in diameter and soft/rubbery to the touch.
It grows in a "swirl" pattern.

That's a macro algae, had some a while ago and it's harmless, not a nuisance algae basically.

I saw your post on one of the Canuck boards but I'm not a member there.. Looks like a Padina spp? search 'scroll algae'.

I do like it and it does seem to resemble this. It is doing better, now that the Aptasia is gone.
