Hello everybody,

I been reading a lot of posts long before I ever think of posting my own tank.

It's has two years now and I can say at the moment things are starting to be sweet (hope they stay like this fir a long, long time).

It's a 145 gallon system and I'll be posting some pics and more info later on when I'm on the desktop computer at home. This is just to get me started.

Looking forward to share some experiences with you all.

Peace

Thanks!

Thank you all for your kind coments.

My bulb combination will tell asap when I get home, because I dont keep track of it. just do what I think it could work with the dimmable channel on the ATI.

You can call me when you want and we'll figure that out.

This one with the lights dimming up (blue+/actinic and actinic/blue+).

Thank you very much stevenc11871 ;)

Very nice! Do you does anything other than the four components mentioned in your post? Do you use any carbon or gfo for nitrate phosphate control?

The acropower add is kind of recent adition. Normally just supplement with light balling (ca, mg and kH). From time to time, depending on my nitrate/phosphat readings I will add some prodibio bacter and food for it.

Iīve been lucky enough to have it going good for a while now, every now and then (not so often, cross my fingers) a coral goes wrong. What I try to think is if everythingīs ok and one coral is getting bad might as well not be to alarmed by it and making crazy decisions in the heat of the moment.

Beautiful tank and amazing SPS and Zoanthids. Well done mate!!! ;)

Cheers mate, I do my best. Sometimeīs not enought. Cheers!

Love it! Nicely done.

Thank you very much Oldude!

Hello everyone,

Itīs been some busy days at work and with the family.

Hope everythingīs cool with all of you.

The tank as been going after a period of some instability but slowly and surely itīs backing up on track.

I did not forget to tell the light combo but I did forget to check it in due time... I will as soon as I get a chance but itīs mainly Blue+, Coral+, Actinic and Purple+.

I leave you guys with a little video that I did a couple of days ago and I was in a hurry to edit it so... it is what it is... not much. The coralīs coloration suffered and they did brown up a bit. Coming together and I will keep you posted.

Peace

This is such a beautiful aquarium. Which balling lite product do you use? Is it Fauna Marin? Do you add the trace element parts?

Sorry, no purple as stated before (at the moment).

Thank you guys for all your compliments, it gives me motivation to take even better care of my tank and sea friends.

I used to use fauna marin products as balling but now I only use the powder from the lfs that get it from a pharmaceutical company. I do use from time to time their micros (fauna's) - not much at the moment because I water change with natural sea water.

I've been dealing with high salinity (1,032) due to lack of periodical checking.

My parameters were all out of order, got a little disconnected with maintenance. Work, family and friends took all my available time but now it's coming back with some good routines.

Keep you guys posted as I go. Meanwhile I'm checking you guy's tanks, great inspirational tips and a way to share a lot of experiences.

Take fun and have care ;)

They're as close to the water as they can be. I like the light mix better when they are higher, they mix better, but I want the sps to take full profit of lught quality and intensity. ;)

Here's a late night photo to help me explaning

What do you feed the fish and corals? - Thanks.

Cheers Sahin,

I only use, for filtration, skimmer, live rock and ozone generator (certizon 25). From time to time, not often, I'll had some biodigest and bioptim.

I feed algae sheets, red rotifers and ocean nutrition veggie granulate. Corals eat fish waste and film (a lot) from the glasses when I clean it with magfloat and easy blade. The water turns green for a while. I clean the glasses sometimes everyday and sometimes twice a day.

MARAVILHA!!!! amazing!!!!

Obrigado, thanks! Just did a copy from another post and it came out in portuguese. I do apologize for the other members but its nothing big nor long.

Thank you rt67ghy, its hard to get the proper water parameters for all of them but I try to focus on the sps but try not to keep such a po4 and no4 sterile envoirement.
I do like the combinarion as well but I think it can get better ( and will hopefully).

Beautiful!

Hello everyone,

The tank suffered from rtn and stn for the last two months. Been able to save almost all the colonies but unfortunally lost 5 of them. At least not all of them.

This was due to kH variations that lead to readings of 2 degrees at some point.

I redid the layout and opened more swiming space in rhe middle.

Hope you enjoy it
