I am getting ready to hang my lights I have 3 over a 48x24x18. I know I need to start low. Any one have a screen shots of what spectrum you are running? Is it possible to dim the moon cycle or change what less come on?

Moon cycle is optional, I have it turned off. My normal program has blues on for a couple hours after sunset and an hour before sunrise.

You can control each color channel separately, and intensity is controllable in 1% increments.

Good starting points for you will depend on what corals you have in the tank, and their depth from the surface. To be on the safe side, you may choose not to have any one channel higher than say, 25% for the first few days, then slowly ramp up to what you want.

Give yourself some time to learn the control interface, add plenty of time points, then slide them left and right (time) and up and down (intensity) until you are happy. You can push a button and it will run through your whole 24 hour cycle in about 30 seconds, let's you see what it will do over the course of a day.

Good luck with the mounts!

Bones, where is this button? In the app or webpage? That would be a useful feature.

I started my my lights with all my intensities at 30% and I've been working my way up from there over the past month. Currently I am maxing at 55% on purple, DB, Blue and UV with the others a bit lower to varying degrees. I would take a screenshot but I'm a Mac noob and haven't figured out how to do that yet.
I started low because I was coming from T5. So far it looks like I will be able to go higher than 55%. Everything is happy but it looks like the zoas and paly want a little more light. I have the lights at max height using the mounting brackets. One of my mounts has the sagging problem and the other doesn't. For the one that does I used the twist tie that was wrapped on the cord and used it as a makeshift shim. A little ghetto but it works.

I'm using the IOS app, and I think it's just a little "play" arrow down toward the bottom when your on the programming page.

Doesn't seem to exist on the Android app.

It's funny how the three software versions (web, IOS, Android) are each totally different!

Makes you hopeful that they are tasking their developers to integrate the best feature of each version into the others!

So can anyone take a screen shot of how they are running their lights? I would love to se the different setups.

Just got two primes for a 38gal bowfront. Like them. Make a little more noise than i thought but ive never had high(er) power LED so dont know what to expect. that said want to put some reasoning behind schedule here is my thinking.
Want 12 hr light cycle, thats what you get a equator for most part and why not try and simulate nature. At first i thought ramping up intensity by the SIN of the angle of the sun would mimic nature but now thinking this is not accurate. The sun has more light to punch through at low azimuth so I found this nice website that shows intensity of light given time of day and latitude.

http://pveducation.org/pvcdrom/properties-of-sunlight/calculation-of-solar-insolation

Long story short I exported these values which you can cut and paste then used excel to find percentage intensity for a given time of day.

0hr 0%
1hr 47%
2hr 77%
3hr 90%
4hr 96%
5hr 99%
6hr 100%
7hr 99%
8hr 96%
9hr 89%
10hr 77%
11hr 49%
12hr 0%

then i adjusted by 60% because thats the most intense i want the lights to start out. long story short i was surprised that the sun's intensity ramped up and down so fast in tropical areas, and also wanted to see what anyone else thought of this rationality. obviously too nitpicky but hey... if you cant geek out a bit whats the point.

You might consider lowering that 60% just a tad for startup, 40-45% was enough to cause light stress signs on some of my LPS at the start. Other than that, your plan sounds pretty reasonable to me!

I selected the moonlight feature but I'm not sure it did anything as last night I finally had a chance to be at my apartment and check them out....everything was just to 5%. I do not like the automatic setup at all and will need to play with the controls. I've an empty tank so I have time to test.
