I've been cycle my 90 gallon tank with 80lb of dead sand and 100lb of dead rock for 12 days. Seems to be moving along quickly. I've done a couple of test and seems I've already has a spike in ammonia and have high nitrite.
Temp 78
No lights or skimmer
Running refugium 20l with sock and a mag 9.5 for return
Gyre 130 for flow
Let me know what you guys think of cycle so far

Seems my ammonia levels are coming down. Anything else I should be doing?

Yep moving right along. I would consider removing that shrimp now :D then ghost feed fish food.

I'll be doing that in the next few days.

Yes, just seems the cycle is moving quickly, seen other people take 3-4 weeks to see the levels Im at.

Each tank cycles differently. Mine was reading all 0s at the end of 3 weeks but still waited a couple more before adding anything else. When it reached 0 I just fed the tank what I would be feeding it on a daily basis while waiting for fish to get out of the QT.

Ghost feeding would be once a day? Also how often do I test?

Once a day before and continued AFTER the appearance of ammonia. Pretty well if the ammonia disappears and further feeding cannot provoke it, you are ready for crabs and snails.

you can ghost feed if you want daily but contrary to popular belief it is not needed at all, once a week is more than enough. You are just creating more ammonia to be converted, when you already had a good spike as is.
