Hi everyone I am not sure if my other post is up or not but in a few weeks I am getting a second hand 55 gallon setup and I was wondering what type of fish and coral I should get? http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04/29/84d0fc127c412323c65297e962330a43.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/04/29/cad4dbd16b480a91fe9da0eeda328a0b.jpg
I am getting that for 100$ also there is a canister filter in the stand I believe. Any help is help full!

Once you get the set up it will be a while before you can add anything. I suggest reading up on this thread:

Ok thanks
The tank will do well for blennies, gobies, basslets, jawfish. One chromis damsel will do well, not two. What corals will depend on the lights: T5 can handle softies, up to lps...but I would not trust old bulbs. Those will have to be replaced, and you may need new light kit. I would ditch the canister and get a proper sump with skimmer ---an AquaC EV 120 would do well but site it IN the tank, as they notoriously spit. So would a hang-on Coralife, but you do need to do a little mod of putting tubes on the air vents and aiming those OVER but not INTO your sump, to handle occasional spits without them going on your floor.

looks like he is already getting a coralife super skimmer (thats what it looks like in the pic). that and the live rock is a great way to get started. start slow, so lots of reading/research. start with fish only. maybe add more live rock. looks like you will have 40lbs or so, try to get it to 90lbs (fill up that whole back wall of the tank) :D
on down the road you can get a stronger light and better water flow and experiment with some soft coral.
:D
you will not need the canister filter. i would keep it for vacuuming out/portable cleaning, but you will not need to leave it setup and running on the tank etc. not with that skimmer.
