Hello All. I have decided to use tech M for my algae. The directions state one ml per gallon, and that will raise Magnesium by about 19ppm a day. But I am at 1320... trying to get to 1600. This is going to take years!!! If anyone has used this how fast can I add it? I do not want to rush it though. Any one with experience?

You may safely move Mg 100 ppm per day. This calculator is helpful and Kent's Tech M is listed as one of the products for Mg. Good Luck.

Also, Such is the nature of dosing Mg. I add 240 ml at a time of my Mg solution because I consume 3ppm per day with my sps tank. It takes a good bit of product to move and will not harm your stock. You may slow it down to 50ppm per day when you get close to your final number and be sure your tests are accurate. pH will remain largely unaffected.

You might also switch to Oceanic salt: it keeps my mg quite high.
