So maybe not with tiny culturing containers like soda bottles and tanks less than 5 gallons, but in large culture containers (say 10 gallons to 20 gallons), is it better to have a powerhead or an airstone/air source to move the water to culture amphipods or copepods? I think that the powerhead might shred some of the bigger amphipods, but the airstone would wash up the tinier copepods. The powerhead would move more water, and maybe provide more aeration than the airstone, as well as prevent the water from splashing too much, right?

hey ichthy, i've got an air driven bubbleless water mover that i use in my rv.
copepods, rotifers and ciliates. no impellers. i can post pics if you want. not much in the way of large water movement, but good for pods. all of them.
