This baby was bought used from the craigslist.com site.

I am loving this tank. My 29 will soon run out of room so I am going to start working on this one.

I went to lowe's and bought some stuff.
Plywood 2x4s trim boards plumbing
I got some plastic screw and a piece of acrylic to use in place of the center brace of the tank.

Also bought a filter sock kit and a mag 9.5.

Also got some glass for sump baffles.

I built the stand frame and I am now in S. Padre island Tx. I did some dip netting and caught some fish and sea urchins.

Going to trade the urchins and some of the fish for stuff at the lfs.

I'm thinking about using dry sand from a large sand dune and then rinse it very well with hose water and then with RO water to use in my tank.http://s17.postimg.org/lmsgdw0z3/cody14.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/xonu81a7f/full/)

I have decided to use my current light 250 watt phoenix with aquacave reflector and 2 x t5ho and skimmer sca 301 on this tank.

I am going to add a full spectrum led bar from rapidled.

http://s24.postimg.org/d15rooncl/new_56_tank1.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/7czgxsj01/full/)Got the stand built and has two coats of paint. I'm going for three coats so that I doesn't show the wood.

I also removed and replaced the center brace with a clear one.

I got my sump all baffled up.

I also got a ato to sit underneath the sump to hold water I cut it down to 3.5 inch and it holds about 5 gallons of water. You can see it sitting on my shelf in the stand.http://s17.postimg.org/adruo4kj3/new_tank_562.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/mfn8i9trf/full/)

I also just mocked up the plumbing. Can seal it till the tank is in place.

Going to add a full spectrum bar 6 Rb 2 Nw 1 red 1 green 2 Cw on a 700ma ballast.

I added two cooling fans in the top I hope I will be able to cut MH use down to four hours a day only with no growth loss.

Going with sand beach I would just be careful with silicates! Once in they could keep diatoms going on for a long time in the system. Good work, I like the three lighting systems together.

LOL thnks it's my little hot rod turbo back exhaust boost controller springs, boost guage intake pipe and a few others.

Can't wait to get a newer one.

I got the paint work all done today and it looks pretty good also put in the t5ho light it was a pita soldering and wiring all the extensions but it is worth the work.

I think I will be stuff into the tank in a few days.

Have to get some quick disconnects for the fans and future led wiring so that I can unplug everything in the canopy and remove the whole lighting board from the top of the canopy. I did this so that if I have any issues or have to replace a lamp it can be down easily with having to remove the larger heavy bulky canopy.

I ran the wiring thru 1/2 into flex tubing so there will not be any unsightliness.
This is my shelf for ballasts timer lighting and doser pump.http://s15.postimg.org/g48qz3eez/image.jpg (http://postimg.org/image/xhj1dy9pz/full/)

Fts still a bit cloudy. What do you think??

I am going to sell my 29 gallon and get miracle mud, diy led bar, doser and jebao rw4.

I have a coral beauty, yellow canary blenny, purple dottyback , green clown goby, and hi red fin shrimp goby in QT.

Besides some wire management and some more zoas, rics and maybe one or two more sps I want a green slimmer and a red planet.
