Im not electrical at all and did some research, but want to post questions to make sure my setup is safe.

Please let me know if im in the wrong section of the forum.

I replaced an outlet with a GFCI outlet which is part of a 20 AMP circuit (checked my circuit breaker). Outside of two light switches to a room that i never use, there is nothing else part of this circuit. As far as ive read, this means I can have ~1920W (or 80% of 20 Amps) connected to this circuit?

Now, I have two surge protectors connected to that GFCI outlet running the following:

First:
- 3 total heaters (for DT and QT) - 550 Watts total
- 3 Power heads - ~30 Watts total
- Skimmer - 20 W
- ATO - cant find Wattage but assuming less than 20 W
- Filter - 20W

Second:
- Two Current LED Lighting system - ~50W
- Two fluorescent fixtures - ~50W
- QT light - 20W
- Refugium light - 10W

That puts me roughly at ~800W.

If I do the math, its 800W/120V ~ 6.67 Amps

Am I calculating correctly? Am i safe here?

You will have no problems. Just a FYI code is GFCI outlets and breaker

Lol, I did a 20 amp dedicated out of paranoia, looking back prolly way excessive with LEDs, yeah you're more than fine. Just don't plug in a vacuum cleaner on the same circuit.

You'll be fine and it will actually be less than you calculated load.
