What is the best technique to hang up canopy lights?

Hi Everyone,

I have these bulky Mars Aqua lights that are about 2 1/2" thick and the canopy has 3" breathing space. What is the best way I should go about attaching the lights to the canopy?

I read up on using airline tubes and a staple gun.. or worse case scenario I would need to return the lights and go for something much slimmer. What do y'all think?

Are you open to making some cutouts and placing them on top of the canopy to gain more clearance?

You're not going to find lights a whole lot slimmer. Your best bet is to cut out the top of the canopy and set them on the top.

The current orbit Leds are pretty slim, very low profile but still 3 inches is not really leaving yourself much space. Plan B build a new canopy...
