Im just curious, but say if i buy a coral that is fully encrusted onto the plug is it ok to remove the coral from the plug and glue it to the rock work? And how do you go about safely removing a coral from a frag plug.

Thanks for looking.

I would say it is probably best to put it on the rock work d just let it encrust. If it's a plug just chop of the bottom and use a little putty to put it where you want.

^^^^ Agreed, Keep on the plug, take bone cutters and take off bottom half then use epoxy and attach to rock work.

I have a few acros that have taken a long time to encrust, I feel if you cut that your loosing so much time. Once it does sprout up you won't even be able to see the original plug anyway.

Some of my sticks grow upward on the plug, but never really encrust. Those, I just snap off.
