I also posted this in the Gen. reef forum.

Will someone please check my math for CP dosing.

250 gallon system = 946.352946 liters dosed at 10mg per liter, that should equal 9.46 grams of CP
Am I correct?
Thanks

Yes, but I would go with 15 ppm.
I'm assuming this is your display tank since it's 250 gallons?
If you have live rock/sand/algae/etc. be prepared for massive die-off that could easily overwhelm your filter and cause an ammonium spike.
Keep lots of ammonia quencher and water for changes on hand and do everything you can to get the decaying organics out of your system.

I've never gone higher than 10 ppm and thus far no failures, except from a bad batch.

I am fortunate in that the tank Has only been up for about 5 months so not much growth. I combined several tanks into one, None of which show Ich. But when I did the transfer, boom. So one of the tanks must have had Ich but had built up a resistance to it. Most of the fish with the ich came from a different tank, but 1 or2 of the others are showing signs as well.

Thanks
