Carbon reactor running only 3 days per week a problem?

I run both GFO and carbon reactors off the same pump. I have taken gfo offline as I don't have any detectable Po4 via Hanna checker (haven't for weeks actually with reactor off) but want to run carbon only M W F. I programmed my apex to only run these three days per week. Is there anything wrong with this plan? Any chance It would hurt by dumping 1 days old reactor water into the tank. I plan to change the carbon out every few weeks.

The water in the reactor will become anoxic, and there might be a lot of anaerobic decay, which can produce toxin metabolites. I would leave the carbon running or discontinue it entirely, personally, but running it on and off might work.
