I put this in the other forum here on RC, but perhaps here is better. I have only this sand right now:

Nature's Ocean Bio-Activ Live Aragonite Reef Sand
Grain size: 0.5-1.7 mm
Natural White #1

found here.

what other types of sand should I get for my jawfish? mixed coral to throw in there? I will definitely have some rock rubble. I'm just wondering about a sand mixture.

I would mix it with some coarse crushed coral gravel and maybe some small coral branches. Jawfish need some bigger pieces to stabilize their burrow.

Oh, and they also like some special rock, clam shell or snail shell to close their burrow entrance at night. I
f you have more than one jawfish they may try to steal each others "door" and rim stones.

cool thanks for the feedback!

i'll get some crushed coral! I'll mix it with the current sand I have before i pour it into my new dry tank. I'll get some rubble and shells too.
