hello every one. i decided to do a build thread. i got a head of my self before i decided to do this. so i don't have allot of pictures to show the process.

tank. 125 rimless starfire (got this used it is allegedly a older egos tank, if anyone reconizes brand please tell me)

kessil a360w lighting yes there is only one for now. this is a budget build

What are the dimensions of your tank. I like the clean look of it. What are you planning to do with it? SPS Dominant? LPS Dominant? What size sump are you running additionally?

48long 30deep 20 high. I want to do a lps dominant with some different sps birdsnest. Nothing to difficult. I want to leave lots of room for fish and want a mellower flow then last tanks big reef scape in center leaving surrounding area free for swimming. I want a clean simplistic tank. Sump in a 30 long. Wish I had a 40 breeder though. Space is tight but I was able to leave room for a refug with crushed coral. Once I clean up under tank I'll post pics of filtration

So 3 days after adding a bunch of live rock from a friends tanks, my nitites dropped to zero. Is this normal. Here is a pic with out blue

First addition to tank. Melanurus Wrasse. Added today, already eating and seems very calm and active.

I like it. I'd bring the lights down though so you're only lighting the tank, not the whole room.. maybe 8" lower. You going to do a mesh top to keep the fish from jumping?
