I'm not sure if it is too late to change your sump set up, but i have some suggestions if that is still an option. First, you seem to be planning on packing your return section with rock, I would not do that. It will be much harder to keep clean, and you really won't need the extra rock (unless you go very minimal rock in the display). Second if you are going to use socks, perhaps 2x7" socks rather than 4x4".

Your shopping list has an ocean motions switcher, but are you planning on drilling your tank for a closed loop? If so, I missed that part in your build thread. If not, you don't need that.

You may want to see what 1 XF-150 does for you, you may not need 2.

I think you should reexamine your RO system. You have selected a high volume commercial RO unit without any DI component. Talk to Ray at reefsupplies.ca (a fellow quebecer!) and see what options he would recommend.

I also think your return pump is way overkill (assuming your sump is under your tank). You could use that pump to run a nice stream/waterfall in your pond. Turnover through your sump is one of those things that have strong opinions in a variety of numbers but it seems the usual range is between 3x to 10x turnover. Your chosen pump could do almost 20x. If you want a silent system, you want nice smooth laminar flow throughout your whole sump. Crashing 3000+ gph through your narrow sump chambers will sound like a river.

As to your lights and skimmer, it's really such a personal choice area. My opinion is your skimmer looks really big, but some say you can't have a skimmer too big. If you can see the skimmer in action before you buy it can help you decide if it will be too loud for you.

Just my 2 cents, hth.
