Hello everyone! I have bought a Montipora spumosa coral frag from a local fish shop and am wondering where to place it. I believe it should be placed near the bottom but am not sure. I have a 46 gal aquarium with 2 kessil 160we's as my lights. Right now it is sitting at the top as I thought it might need a max amount of light but I would prefer to place it near the bottom of the tank. Does anyone know? So far it seems to be doing well as there are a lot of polyps being extended. By the way, the tank depth is about 18"

Mine sits in my 120 about mid tank, under AI Sol Blues set to 45W/65B/65RB. It grows well there. I inadvertently fragged it a couple months ago. The frags are in about 4" of water under a A360W turned most of the way up. They are growing almost too fast.

I would say the more light/flow you can give it the better.

O.K. I had it at the top but it sounds like it will grow mid tank o.k. I will put it mid tank ..... I have a great spot for it. Thanks.
