I have been running biopellets since the restart of my system from a fowler to an sps dominated tank. H/a is gone, and the tank coralline is starting to grow, albeit very slow. I run carbon and a skim to appropriately sized skimmer. Some sps are generally browner bases with colorful tips though they were purchased colorful from the base up. I'm considering removing the pellets, thoughts?

225 gallon in wall, external overflow
Alk- 8.5 dkh
Ca- 450
Mag- 1400
Both ca and Alk are dosed via brs dosing pump

Flow- gyre 150 and strong return pump

Po4- 0 via Hanna ulr
No3- 0 via salifert

I have tried dosing nitrates, but they just about never register. I've done oyster feast and reef chilli without much luck.

You're at that point where things can start to go downhill. Undetectable nitrates and PO4 for prolonged periods of time can make for some very unhappy corals since both are essential for life.
