I've had no issues with this guy for well over a year and he has been growing steadily. All of a sudden, some of his heads have little dots on them and they shriveling and dying off. Other heads are perfectly healthy.

No goofy water parameters, and all other corals are healthy and normal as far as I can tell. This happened rather rapidly, a few of the heads seem unaffected. Any ideas?

The last picture shows a head in the process of melting off...

You say no "goofy" water parameters, "goofy" isn't a parameter what exactly are they?.

Have you changed anything with your lighting? If not maybe you need new light bulbs?

This, is why you should chart everything and take notes every day.

Something happened.

When, you dont know.....

Now you must check everything and possibly dip the coral to see if you can disinfect it....

They are Radion Gen 2 LED's. I hope I don't need new lights after 1 year.

Salinity 1.025, Alk 8, Cal 420, untraceable nitrate & Phosphate.

Parameters have been completely steady for months. No equipment or lighting changes. No other signs of anything bad, no other issues with any coral. It's literally only a few heads on this one particular coral.

On the one where heads are dying off, it's got those little spots/growths on it that you can see in the picture.

So should I pull the coral out & just dip it? Should I ignore the little nodules growing on it?

This would be the first thing I would have done at the sign of strange growth and heads degenerating.

What other inhabitants are in your tank. Could be coral warfare. Pull and dip immediately.
