Anyone have more than one dwarf angel in a nano?

dwarf angels need 40-55 gallons of tank space as a minimum and are very aggressive. So therefore you cannot even keep one in a nano and cannot have a harem of them

While the 40-55G is only a guideline, I would not keep more then one in a nano. There are plenty of flame angels living very healthy lives in 29G biocubes.

I've really wanted to get another flame angel for my cube to have a pair (instead of a harem), but I just don't want to take the risk of sexing them in an SPS dominated cube and having to worry about removing them if things go south.

For what it's worth, I was considering it after reading the article in Coral magazine from a person who breeds them professionally, where they recommended a 30g tank being the perfect size. It lit a lightbulb over my head. Though if I wanted to start with breeding stuff, I already have a pair of clowns who definitely do the dance, though I've never found their eggs.

Anyway, if the pair/harem are established already at the LFS or in someone else's tank (or in QT), and will be the main feature of the tank, I don't see a problem, particularly if there is plenty of liverock in the tank.

Edit: I spent almost 10 minutes digging through my library for the reference, but couldn't find it. If you/someone really cares, I'll spend more time digging, but without particular interest, I'm not going to spend more time :p

If you find the article I'm interested in reading.

I apologize, I'm still researching this (I don't have a day to sit and read everything, only 5 minutes here or there).

Some good threads though:

Angel*Fish is an expert centropygae breeder if I recall correctly, so it may be worth searching a few of her threads.
