Ok so kicking around the idea of starting up another 93 cube (my wife is getting the addiction more than me lol) Thinking of doing a ATI t5 setup over the new one. Have the Orphek over current tank and love the light but can't dial it in for both SPS and softies (not debating I know LED can do both but I can't find the sweet spot on both in this tank.). So going back to the ATI question on a 93 (30x30x24) would a 6bulb with two reefbrights be enough coverage and par for SPS or would a 8 bulb and maybe a reefbright for Pop be better (no canopy, may add one later but not trying to light the floor lol).

How many watts would the t5 bulbs be?

24 watts each.
You could probably get away with 6, but 8 would give you much better coverage, especially around the edges.

That's where I am leaning to 30x30 from a 24in fixture probably better to go with 8 bulbs. Can play a little more with bulb combos also. Just trying to get some different opinions.

There is a used 24" hybrid in the classifieds right now. That would work also.

I would go with the 8 bulb

That's what everyone is telling me so far. Go with the 8 and get full coverage. Now just have to find one for a good price.

Looks like I am looking for a 8x24 if anyone knows where to find one I would appreciate it.
