Need some help with a lobophylia. It was in a qt and the salinity spiked to to 1.029 (I had to go out of town for an emergency) and the alkalinity was down to 6.5. When I came back it is showing a little skeleton and is not inflated like it has been. I lowered the salinity with water changes but it still has not puffed back up. Does anyone have experience with this and will it recover? The quarantine period is up..would it have a better chance at recovering in the main?

I will still observe it a little longer in the QT. I would give it a dip in something like Revive or Lugols and see how it does. Place it in low light and feed it and see if it comes back

I've had a lobophyllia hemprichii for 9 months and it was fully inflated and feeding well for 7 months. Then for no apparent reason it did what yours did but skeleton wasn't showing. As soon as I put it in my fuge it recovered and is fully inflated and seems happy, so it's still in my fuge after 2 months. You may want to try that.

Thanks for the responses! I had already put him in the main and he has blown up beautifully. I'll keep an eye on the receded flesh...hopefully that will recover.
